My Path to Helping Others
I serve all patients in Georgia through my telehealth services. I’ve lived in Macon, Savannah, and Columbus, but provide psychotherapy to patients across the state. If you’re ready to feel more like you again (or maybe get to know yourself for the first time), I’d be honored to walk with you through that process.
I help adults who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shake—whether it’s trouble sleeping, struggling to connect in relationships, or carrying the weight of past trauma. If you often feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or weighed down by shame or guilt, you’re not alone—and what you’re experiencing might be symptoms of complex PTSD.
I work best with folks who are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level—even if that feels scary at first. In our work together, we’ll explore things like anxiety, emotional disconnection, relationship patterns, and the inner critic that won’t quit. My job is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, and start building a new relationship with yourself—one that feels more compassionate, connected, and grounded.
I specialize in trauma-focused therapy and use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support clients moving through the deep impact trauma can have on the mind and body. My approach is grounded in a feminist and culturally-aware lens, which means we’ll look not only at your personal history, but also the social and cultural pressures that may be shaping your experiences.
I operate under the clinical supervision of Shannon Mathis Meyer, LCSW.
